FAQs


Thank you so much for choosing digital detours for your design needs!  You will find answers to some of the most common questions I’ve received about my Instant Download files.

{Digital Instant Download files}

You will be able to instantly download files after your order has completed.  An email with a link to access your file will also be sent automatically.

{Invites, Business cards, etc.}

Some templates provided will be fully layered Photoshop files and some will be PDF documents.  The file type being provided is noted in the “Item Description” listing.  If you’ve purchased a template that you would like edited, either Photoshop or a PDF document, I do provide a “Customize Me” Add-On listing in my shop.  This listing is available in addition to the listing for the template.

When you purchase both listings, I will be happy to make your requested edits for you.  Please provide your information in the notes of your order and I will make the edits and provide you with a screenshot to proof before I deliver the digital files to you.

{Dropbox}

Digital files for custom orders will be delivered to you via Dropbox.  If you haven’t used Dropbox before, it’s basically a virtual file folder.  You don’t have to download their software if you don’t want to but you will find it’s super helpful to use in everyday life.  {I have their app on my phone and can access my files from the computer or my phone any time I need to.}   You will be able to download your files directly from Dropbox once you join the folder.  You will also be able to share the folder with anyone you need to.  Please ensure you fully join the folder before you attempt to download your files.

Some notes on Dropbox:

- I will send the invite to the email address associated with your account..

- You will be able to invite people to your folder so you can share files if you need to.  This includes the ability to share the folder with any other email addresses you may wish to utilize, if you prefer not to associate the email address you have listed in your Etsy account.

  • If you do already have an account, please make sure you have some free space available. Some of the files I create will be too large to email.
  • Once you join your folder, I will be notified. I will make you the owner of your folder and I will remove myself. If need be, I can later rejoin to add new files for future orders or to save updated files for you. I don't keep client folders in my account for long. My account gets a little full sometimes :)

*If you do not see an email from Dropbox pretty quickly, please check your Spam folder in your email to ensure it didn’t get caught on accident.

{Template Printing}

You may print your new template anywhere you like.  If you’re printing at home and using a kit from something like Avery, you can upload your new files directly to their site very easily.  If you prefer to use a lab such as Vistaprint, you may also upload your new files directly to their site for printing.  If you choose to use a local lab, such as Staples or FedEx, you’ll need to download your files to a flash drive so they may access them easily.  Stores such as FedEx may not be able to access Dropbox. Please also note using screenshots of your files WILL affect the quality of your prints.  Please only use the files provided to you for the best printing and resolution.

If you are using an outside lab, please be sure you are aware of their sizing/crop specs before printing any templates from my shop. You may need to re-size to their specs. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, I am happy to answer questions for you. digital detours will not be held responsible for an printing errors.

* Please understand I am unable to be the go-between when corresponding with your lab if you choose to print files with a 3rd party vendor. I will make every effort to ensure your files are ready for print but it is your responsibility to communicate or send files to the lab.

© digital detours graphic design services will retain copyright to all designs, templates and items in this shop and are for personal-use ONLY. Any reproduction without permission is forbidden.

digital detours retains copyright to all designs and no other designers are permitted to make revisions. If revisions or further work is needed on your custom design, please contact me.

{Custom work}

Once your design has been approved of and delivered, if any further revisions or work is needed, there will be an additional fee.

After approximately 30 days of no response, the project will be considered complete. If further work, concepts or revisions are needed, there will be an additional fee to pick back up on our project together.

digital detours will not be held responsible for your files after 30 days. PLEASE back up your files immediately upon downloading them. You will be charged full price for their recreation, if needed.

{PLEASE NOTE}

While I do offer a wide variety of design services from Custom Logos, Marketing Materials, Web design, Blog Design and more. All that is included is listed in the "INCLUDED" section in the listing you are purchasing. If you do not see something listed in the "INCLUDES" section, it's not included. If you're interested in another design service aside from the listing/service you are purchasing, please contact me for pricing. Font files are NOT included in your purchase, however, I am happy to provide you with the font name if you'd like to use it for your Marketing Materials. Please contact me if you have any questions.

{Refunds}

Due to the nature of Graphic design and time invested for DIGITAL items, I do not offer refunds. On Custom orders, I am happy to offer unlimited revisions until you are satisfied, but I do not issue refunds. On Pre-made and other items in my shop, once the item has been delivered, I do not issue refunds.
